Psychedelic Assisted Therapist
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Psychedelic Assisted Therapist to join our pioneering and collaborative team.
What is Psychedelic Assisted Therapy at MMHG?
Psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy programs are predominantly psychotherapy programs, with psychedelic dosing sessions assisting the therapeutic work. These treatments require the skilful coordination of a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and nurses and a solid understanding of clinical service delivery as well as research.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a safe, effective, client-centered psychotherapy program in line with our HREC-approved protocols
- Liaise with internal multidisciplinary team and external treating team (GP, Psychiatrist) to ensure continuity of care.
- Clinical administration, including note-taking
- Conduct risk assessments
- Adhere to internal clinical and treatment protocols, relevant codes of ethics and AHPRA guidelines
- Protect patient privacy and confidentiality
- Participate in case reviews
- Attend frequent professional development, supervision and team meetings

What we are looking for
- Psychologist, Psychiatrist, Nurse or other AHPRA registered health professional in line with TGA requirements
- AHPRA registration in good standing with no conditions
- Client-centered in all you do
- Minimum 2 years of demonstrated experience in psychotherapy
- Competent in working with people experiencing trauma or complex mental health conditions
- High standards of professionalism, ethical conduct and self-awareness
- Acquired formal training in Psychedelic Assisted Therapy (and complementary therapies)
- Experience in supporting people in non-ordinary states, e.g., ketamine or psychedelic-assisted therapy (desirable)
- Experience working autonomously, comfortable providing telehealth services and working in a diverse team of multidisciplinary professionals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with consumers, families, and healthcare professionals
- Demonstrated experience responding to and preventing risk e.g. suicide risk
- Current First Aid certificate and WWCC
