How often do I get to see the Psychiatrist?
If a patient is with a funding body, they have 2 reviews with the Psychiatrist throughout their treatment phase, which is normally around their 20th and 30th session. The reviews are via Telehealth.
If something arises and a review is required prior to the reviews at session 20 and session 30, the patient will be booked for the review.
For patients in a health fund, a review is required and the report by the Psychiatrist is used to support requests for further funding.
If the patient is a private patient – depending on the payment option they have chosen, they could have up to 4 reviews as part of their Treatment phase.
